What Causes Acne On Forehead After Taking Vitamin D3 Tablets?

Question: Hi Sujoy,
We have interacted previously here https://www.healthcaremagic.com/AskDoctorInboxServlet?page=viewQuery&queryId=78088 (which will intern have link to my previous query).
I must say my condition has improved a lot than before. But since couple of weeks i'm noticing some difference. When ever i take Vitamin D3 tablet (Uprise D3 - 60K IU) i get a lot of acne on my forehead. Though my hives stabilizes for two/three day but i get them back again and I've to take Atrax 25mg again and the story repeats.
Would be great if you can let me know what test should i do and question out of curiosity what else vitamins play a vital role so that i can really focus on them too, if at all i'm having deficiency for any.
Brief Answer:
You can stop VitD3 if acne is a concern
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
It is most likely that your Vit D3 levels have improved substantially and acne can become a problem.
You can either (1) recheck Vit D3 levels and decide on whether to continue or stop; or (2) stop Vit D3 60k and apply Clinda-A gel for the acne.
Take Fexofenadine 180mg in the morning and Cetirzine 10mg at night, if the Atarax 25mg is not working.
Slowly the no. of symptom free days will increase.
If previously the thyroid antibodies were negative, with normal uric acid levels, there is no need for any further tests.
Infections can worsen control, so ensure you are treated for any infections if you feel that may be a cause.
Best Wishes.
