What Causes Acute Diarrhea?

Question: My wife has a clear diarrhea. What can we do?

Acute onset of diarrhoea is generally due to food poisoning or food allergy.
Please give some more information. .
what is the frequency of diarrhoea
Is it watery or mucoid
Any pain abdomen or fever
any recent food change

She has it every couple hours.
It is watery.
No abdomen pain or fever.
Is eating regular foods.
She had to take antibiotic after surgery and condene pain medicine for her surgery. This caused constipation. She is trying to get her bowels to start functioning normal again, but this liquid diarrhea is occurring.

try OTC drugs loperamide and lactobacillus

Detailed Answer:
Then it eases by its own.
You may try a OTC probiotic drug containing lactobacillus for 2 days.
Let her take plenty of fluids till she is fine.
A single dose of loperamide 2 mg will help.
she should be fine soon.
