What Causes Acute Nausea And Severe Bloating Post Intake Of Magnesium Salt?

Question: I have done a bowel prep for a hysterectomy taking magnesium citrate
. I took this over 6 hours ago, I passed a marble sized amount and was as hard as a stone! I am hurting and very bloated feel like I might throw up. what should I do?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed your facts of query.
I understood your concerns.
Don't worry to disturb the scheduled hysterectomy.

You can very well go ahead for hysterectomy- with following suggestions.

Q-What to do?
Ans-To control acute nausea- I would suggest you to -

Take Tab PPI with Domeperidone- like Panto D- with sip of water ONLY
and Keep Nil By Mouth as you have to go for hysterectomy after the bowel evacuation.

IF you add simethicone-it would ease out the bowel handling at time of surgery.

Don't take any bowel regulators like Imodium-or loperamide / or antispasmodics- like Tb Mebeverine.

Keep yourself Nil By mouth,as taking by Mouth more than that could effect the scheduling of your hysterectomy.

Hope this should help you out of acute nausea, and as well keep the scheduled hysterectomy in time.
