Brief Answer:
Knee arthritis Baker's cyst in the calf

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

This could be a Baker's cyst due to arthritis of the knee.

It can cause muscle spasms which causes the pain.

Do get ultrasound of the knee and calf and Xray of the knee to confirm.

Apply hot packs to the affected region.

Keep limb elevated.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
