What Causes Acute Stomach Pain Intermittently?
Question: I am 45 yrs old ,male.I am suffering acute stomach pain. This happens for me at regular interval . Generally my family doctor prescribe me tab O2H & course of 5 days cure me. But this happens again after some interval of month or some more. Please give me the permanent relief from this disease. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

To recapitulate: Male/ 45 - recurrent stomach pains - O2H for 5 days and you get cured - Wants permanent cure...
To get a cure from any of the disease, one needs to get a perfect diagnosis. And this is possible only with proper investigations, clinical / Physical examination preferably by the General Surgeon / Surgical Gastroenterologist.
I would advise you the following:
- Clinical / Physical General and Abdominal examination by a Surgeon.
- I hope by this time you must have undergone the tests of blood, urine and stool; if not yet done then please get the tests done particularly to rule out diabetes / Stool: routine, microscopy, occult blood.
- Ultrasonography of the abdomen, which may not show every abnormality of the intestines but gives information about other organs, lymph nodes etc.
- Most important is the Colonoscopy.
-In addition get your water course / water purifier at home, office checked for possible contamination which may be one of the important causes of recurrent intestinal infections and infestations.
