What Causes Allergic Rash On The Face After Taking Augmentin?
Question: I took a 10-day prescription of Augmentin 875/125mg for bronchitis and pneumonia. I developed a burning tongue (which has gone away) and a very itchy face rash toward the end which I still have and seems to be getting worse. I finished the Augmentin March 2. Shouldn't this be gone by now? What can I use on it? About the only thing that makes it feel better is vaseline. But it isn't helping it. (I also took a one-week prescription of 5mg prednisone tapering from 6 tablets to 1 tablet. But the rash started after that.)
