What Causes Alternating Cold And Hot Spells?
Question: For three weeks now I have had two or three 'episodes' daily of alternating cold and hot spells or usually both at the same time. They last from two to three hours. I become anxious and stiffen up, so my muscles (especially my legs and back) become fatigued and sore. My doctor is considering a diagnosis of kidney infection or liver problems. We have yet to get blood test results, but I'm very concerned.
I have assorted sizes of bruises appearing daily (once I had 60 on my body at one time). Some are painful, some are not. Most appear while I sleep, but I recently watched one appear on my arm. Nothing there and then a dime-size bruise slowly appeared.
I noticed two days ago that my veins are becoming very noticible, especially on my torso and neck.
Lots of symptoms and problems, I know. I'm so tired of it all.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I can understand your concern.
Except of liver function tests, i would recommend to check also the thyroid hormones ( TSH, Ft4).
Often a thyroid pathology can cause the symptoms you described.
Regarding to your skin bruises, please attach/upload a picture of them for a clear impression . You can simply upload/attach them at the reports section.
Will be a pleasure to help you further.
