What Causes An Acute Onset Of Sore Muscles?

There can be many causes, either solely or cumulatively causing this
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. There can be various causes for this and we can only assume without supporting investigations to back it, but as you wish to know, some of the most common causes could be:
+A previously injured muscle which is sensitive and tends to pain or hurt only when moved in a particular manner repeatedly
+Dehydration: A state of dehydration can cause such a presentation solely, or even add to further injury of a previously injured muscle
+Electrolyte imbalance: Can again solely cause such a presentation when there is an imbalance, or can further damage an already injured muscle
+Over exhaustion of a muscle
and many other causes ma'am.
I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.

Could be an injury requiring rest
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again.
If you tend to stay well hydrated and take quite a bit of electrolytes as well in the form of Gatorade. It could be something to do with a previously injured muscle, in which case you should go about the RICE protocol for a while.
R= Rest
I = Ice
C = Conpression in the form of an elastic bandage
E = Elevation of your limb
If at all it is an injured muscle, ligament or tendon then you will require rest for at least a month or two, void from all strenuous physical activity including exercise of the region.
But as this is only an assumption, I would also recommend a physical examination if that is possible with a doctor in your region.
Best wishes.
