What Causes An Electric Shock Like Sensation Under The Arm?
Question: I'm having an electrical shock type pain under my arm (below my armpit along the ribcage adjacent to my nipple but slightly above it) when I move or stretch a certain way. it only happens occasionally. I don't feel any lumps or swollen glands but I know the Lymph nodes are in the armpit and am concerned this could be a sign of cancer ( I know I'm probably overreacting) are the lymph nodes deep in the armpit or are they also below the armpit a little and along the ribcage adjacent to the breast? also I'm wondering what you think this electrical shock type pain when I move a certain way could be? thanks!!
Brief Answer:
Hello. It may be related to focal. Neuritis or myositis
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.
I have gone through the details. So such an electric shock like pain can be due to focal neuritis, that is inflammation of nerves or myositis i.e. inflammation of muscle. Most likely cause are viral in nature or trivial trauma.
Lymph nodes are mostly in the armpits and not along the rib cage. If they are involved, they will enlarge and will cause pain but not like electric shock type. So do not worry. There is no sign of cancer.
Thanks and regards
