Question: I have an issue. I had H. Pylori for almost three years and during this period of time I took four rounds of treatment and last two of them was the HP Pack. I was not cured. Now it is causing problems feeling tired and not enjoying my food and pain and feeling to throw up all the time. I am diabetic and have blood pressure but this problem causing heart rate increase as well. What might be my solution for me.

Also about this issue, is it possible that this problem could be related in any way with heart rate increase especially when I walk or do some exercises and mostly after I eat and if yes please can you explain the function and why and how

Brief Answer:
A repeat endoscopy should be done with culture sensitivity.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concern.

As per the history given by you i would consider that you have taken the complete course of therapy for more then two times.

You are a case of antibiotic resistant H. Pylori. The current approach is to make a firm diagnosis, give combination antibiotic and antisecretory therapy, and confirm that the infection has been cured 4 to 6 weeks later. Resistance to metronidazole can frequently be overcome by increasing the dose and duration of treatment with acid suppression. Clarithromycin is the most effective antibiotic against H. pylori but, unfortunately, you are resistant to it. The choice of therapy should be based on local susceptibility patterns. Re-treatment regimens for treatment failure should exclude antibiotics where acquired resistance is expected (i.e., clarithromycin and possibly metronidazole). As you are a treatment failure case repeat endoscopy and culture and susceptibility testingshould be done to find out the resistance and suseptibility of bacteria to antibiotics in your case. Overall, higher doses and longer durations of treatment result in the best cure rates.

Hoever if all the regimens fail salvage therapy regimens such as bismuth or furazolidone quadruple therapy (a bismuth and tetracycline HCl 4 times a day along with a proton pump inhibitor twice a day, and either metronidazole 400 or 500 mg three times daily or furazolidone 100 mg three times daily for 14 days) can be used.

As of now a repeat endoscopy with culture sensitivity should be done.Discuss the above mentioned possibilities with your gastroenterologist.

Acidity ,GERD and acid peptic disorders can stimulate the autonomous nervous system hence can increase the heart rate. However heart rate increase during exertion is a cardiac event and has no relation to your gastric problem.

I hope i asnswered your query well.

I believe that all my problem related to the autonomous nervous system and being all the time edgy, any suggestions or treatments could be done so it will not be so sensitive.

Any home remedies as well

Thanks
