What Causes An Intermittent Vein Like Mass On The Clitoris After Sexual Activity?
Question: I have a small beaded vein-like mass that goes down along the left side of my clitoris that comes and goes with sexual activity. It becomes extremely hard and painful, moves with the skin so it is not attached to the clitoral tissue. And when it's not inflamed, I usually can't even feel it at all. I'm so tired of it interfering with my sex life. I have no health insurance but I am desperate to find relief from this, and I have not found anything about it online, despite months of research. I have read bout vericose veins but it doesn't seem like that's it because it's not palpable or painful all the time and I have never been pregnant, which seems to be a primary cause of labial vericose veins. I doubt it is a cyst because it never appears to be infected. it never ruptures or drains and never feels larger than a couple of seeds under the skin. what is this and how can I fix it!?
Brief Answer:
Can be a normal / prominent vein.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A vein like mass that comes and goes with sexual activity is a prominent vein in the area. This can be a normal variation. Due to increased blood supply during sexual activity the vein becomes prominent. A direct examination by a gynecologist will help in confirming this.
