What Causes An Itchy Bruise On The Finger?
Question: hi I just noticed this bruise on my finger and don't recall hitting my hand it is very itchy. what can this be? should I be worried?

Read and reviewed facts of your query in context to the very itchy bruise on your finger, without any history of trauma to finger.
Based on the facts, possibility of - un-noticed Insect Bite,or Spider bite / or contact dermatitis with any cosmetic/or Urticaria, which needs to be ruled out.
Other possibilities -as Reynauds syndrome/ Achenbach's Syndrome-, need to be ruled out from the above causes.
Accidental migraine medicine intake may cause vasospastic paroxysmal bruise in finger.
Treatment-
Consultation with Surgeon / hand Surgeon would be needed, who would do needful high resolution Color dopler to assess the vascular cause of it.
If no purple discoloration, bruise would resolve with Ice application.
Inj.antihistaminic
and or / Inj.Dexona, would reduce the vasoactive reaction in some cases.
If there discoloration of the bruised finger, Vasospastic-Reynaud's disease may be there and would need treatment with Vascular Surgeon.
Vasodialators to control the Reynaud's phenomenon could relieve the bruise.
Exposure to Cold is the be avoided.
Tab Niacin 100 x 2 times a day would reduce such attacks.
With Vitc would resolve this issue with few cases.
