What Causes Anhidrosis?
Question: Hello, I am currently in China. Hard to find good doctors here hope I can get an answer here. Yes, I miss the states a lot. Too the point. My wife does not sweat and I looked of the name of this condition which if I am right it is called Hypohidrosis or Anhidrosis. This is the part I am really guessing she may have this due to clogged ducts in her skin (poral occulation) another guess, because for the last few years she has developed Acne which she did not have before. She is only 34. I did not notice the sweating problem until we started working out together she would almost turn solid red in the face after working out over an hour and no sweat ( very hard work out). What types of treatment are available if any. Not sure what doctor to go to as well in China. Many bad experiences here when going to the doctor.
Brief Answer:
Can be due to multiple causes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concerns.
Yes, lack of sweating is called anhydrosis but it my be relted to an underlying skin condition. Acne generally occurs due to hormonal problem.
I will advise you to get her skin checked by a good dermatologist.
The cream tretinoin is very good for acne. But anhydrosis can have multiple causes sjogrens syndrome, fabry disease or due to medicines like morphine.
Does she have dry eyes and lack of tears too ?
