Question : Had bronchitus and now lost 10 lbs and have no appetite at all
Brief Answer:
fluid loss probably
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
acute infections may lead to significant fluid (and weight) loss particularly when accompanied by high fever. Loss of appetite is also very common and contributes to fluid and weight loss. Decreasing fluid loss (by increasing fluid consumption) is essential for a faster recovery. Please keep in mind that certain infections (like influenza for example) may cause long lasting (for a few weeks) fatigue and disturb the patient.
If you still have symptoms or fever then you should contact your doctor for a more thorough assessment of your condition.
