Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

Corticosteroids even when injected can cause mood swings, irritability, crying, and even depressed mood. This would be expected to go away in a few days. If it does not, it is very important you visit a doctor to consider a medication such as lorazepam or an increased dose of Xanax to help with this in the short-term. But I would wait a few days first as this should go away on its own.

Detailed Answer:
I'm sorry this has made your PTSD symptoms worse. Steroids can certainly do that. I would expect this to go away in a few days. If not, reach out to me or another physician.
