You have started with brintellix. All SSRIs, SNRIs can increase anxiety on drug initiation. Usually, this should settle down in 5-7 days of drug initiation.
Antidepressants, especially SNRIs like effexor and pristiq can cause discontinuation syndrome which mimic the symptoms of anxiety .
A better strategy in my opinion would be to first reach the desired dose of brintellix and then start reducing pristiq.
