Brief Answer:
Consult a psychiatrist for evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern. His symptoms started suddenly and he is 64 years old so these symptoms shouldn't be ignored. Sudden onset anxiety, confusion, abnormal behaviour, hyperactivity etc could occur due to a number of reasons. I'd advise you to get his BP checked to rule out hypertension. Also get his serum electrolytes, renal function tests done to rule out any possible medical cause. Electrolyte imbalance is one of common cause of these symptoms.

Acute onset abnormal behaviour is also seen in acute psychosis or in acute mania also. Any recent drug abuse could also cause similar presentation. So please visit a psychiatrist for his evaluation and management.

Thanks, Hope this helps you, if you have more doubts you can ask again
