What Causes Anxiety, Vomiting And Body Pain While Tapering Off Of Temazepam?
It should be mentioned that I have adjusted my caloric intake and diet accordingly to my decreased ability to exercise as much, and in reality I am probably doing 2/3rds as much in the gym, but everything is SO MUCH HARDER from the weakness caused by the withdrawals. I'm wondering when this aching and lack of energy will go away? I know it's all stress induced. Thank you
I think you should continue with gabapentin.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
We don't know for sure if diazepam will work better with your withdrawal symptoms or not, but we know that stopping gabapentin suddenly may cause withdrawal symptoms too.
That dose of diazepam may cause excessive drowsiness and can prevent you from exercising.
Diazepam also may result in weight gain ( however it depends on the person ).
There is some improvement in sleep and throwing up less, so, gabapentin is probably working.
Withdrawal symptoms may take more than two months ( up to six months ) to subside, so you need to be patient.
In my opinion, since you are experiencing some improvement, you are exercising and you have adjusted calories, you should continue with gabapentin for another month.
Diazepam may be a possibility if we will be sure that gabapentin failed to improve your condition.
Just give it time, you will start to improve significantly very soon.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Take care.
