What Causes Back Discomfort Inspite Of Having Compression Fracture Of The Vertebra?
6-8 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A compression fracture of the vertebra usually takes 6-8 weeks for healing after proper rest and immobilization. Since it is already one month since the injury you can check the progress radiologically after 2 weeks more.
The pain in the hip that you are having is not likely to be related to the fractured vertebra.
The pain is more likely to be due to muscle spasm which can happen due to electrolyte imbalance or Vitamin D3 deficiency.
It is better to drink sufficient fluid and also see that your intake of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium ) is sufficient. You can drink Oralyte for this. It does not seem much serious issue but pain should be controlled. There are good medicines like muscle relaxants and vitamin D3 supplements which can be used for this purpose, your clinician would know a suitable match for you after examination
I hope this answers your query.

I will endeavor to load up with the recommended items. I guess I am not taking near enough vitamins or Electrolyte solutions.
Today my question is ..... I wonder if I can start a light workout, like low impact bike ride, low impact hike, or a gym workout that would not add stress to my body.
Thanks...... XXXXXXX
Yes.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Yes you can start with a low impact exercise and a mild workout at gym. In case there is any sharp pain at the site of T12 then do stop the exercise immediately.
Hope my answer is helpful.
