Brief Answer:
Developmental therapy needs to be given after assessing developmental stage

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

There are a number of things to consider before helping your child be able to stand. As you mention that your child has cerebral palsy or CP. The first thing to assess is the developmental age of the child. This can be done initially by the use of tools like XXXXXXX II or XXXXXXX Developmental Screening Test (DDST), and thereafter by confirmatory tests like DASII (Developmental Assessment Scales for XXXXXXX Infants). Thereafter, developmental supports are to be given such that the next developmental stage is stimulated such that it can be achieved faster. Although physical therapy and occupational therapy as important aspects of management, there is a significant portion that you can be trained to make him perform at home in order to aid the process. Over a period of time your child should be able to walk.

Looking at your IP, you seem to be from XXXXXXX In that case I would suggest you to visit the following institute: XXXXXXX Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP)
Address: P - 35/1, Taratola Road, XXXXXXX West Bengal 700088.
