What Causes Bean Shaped Objects In The Stool?
Please see as follows
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your concern. There is a few reasons for this finding. First, I would exclude medications. If taking any medication or vitamin in capsule form, these objects could be the undissolved capsule.
Another possibility is that is may be mucus. If you have intestinal problems like pain, diarrhea or constipation, then you should see a gastroenterologist for further investigation.
Having ruled out the above causes, then the only other possibility is indigestion. Sometimes, after eating certain foods, especially milk products, which contain the protein casein, some gel like, bean shaped objects are observed and they are called "bean curds". These are basically proteins wrapped in fat, which the bowel cannot digest.
The solution is to identify the cause by excluding certain foods from your diet that you think are related to this occurrence and see if it happens again. If it turns out it is the milk causing this, then boiling it for a few more minutes prior to use is the solution.
If the diet change does not solve this then I recommend you do a stool test to look for other causes, including parasites.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions I would be happy to answer them.
Wishing you good health and all the best.
