Question: Hi
My son had unprotected sex . It was his first time. He got what looked like bites on his penis. Several weeks later he got a big blister on his lip. He is very distressed. What should we do? What could it be? Where do we go for a diagnosis and treatment?
Thanks
Deb

Brief Answer:
Lip blister could be due to a drug reaction, unlikely to be STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

'Bites on his penis'-- You mean tooth marks or insect bite like lesion?
How long back he had his sex contact? How long these bite marks were persistent? Or still these are present?
You had mentioned that several weeks after he developed a large blister on his lip.
Large blister on lip that too, several weeks after the contact is unlikely to be due to any STD. This could be due to something else other than a STD like a 'fixed drug eruption' following an exposure to some drugs taken recently.
Almost every medical laboratory has the facility to check for STD panel and for HIV. But it is better to seek the help of your physician to have a thorough examination and under his guidance you can take tests for STD/HIV.

Upload the picture for further clarification.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
You had not mentioned how long after the sex contact, your son developed these lesions? If it is possible upload the pictures of the lesions in HCM so that we can discuss more. Not seems to be related to his sex contact.
