Brief Answer:
it is a bruise; takes 7-10days to start disappearing

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

It is called as a bruise.
Dont worry. It is very common to occur in face after a head trauma, more pronounced in elderly as skin and subcutaneous tissue is loose and lax. It changes colour gradually and starts disappearing after 7-10 days. It can take even 3-4 weeks to disappear completely. You can apply ice over it to fasten the process and give trypsin-chymotrypsin combination tablets to reduce swelling if any.

Hope this was useful.
Regards.
