What Causes Black Colouration And Lump Formation An Injury In My Foot?
Question: Good morning..about 2 weeks ago, I was making my bed and ran into the bedframe. The top of my foot had a little cut and the next morning a bulge. My entire foot turned black and blue. The little cut is just healing up, the lump is still there and my foot is still black and blue, although fading. I can walk, but it does hurt and actually hurts throughout the entire day. I am a MT and type and use the pedal all day, so I have no opportunity to elevate other than at night when bedtime rolls around. Could I have injured a vessel? Sound broken? Thank you and have a nice day. :) XXXX
Brief Answer:
Fracture likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the images attached. You have a considerable swelling and discoloration on your foot. A fracture is likely in the foot. You need to get an X-ray of the foot done and avoid any weight bearing on it. Do take a rest and stop working for a few days till you get an X-ray done. A blood clot is less likely.
I hope this answers your query.
