Brief Answer:
To rule out peripheral arterial disease

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query

I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today

Based on your symptoms, I would like to rule out peripheral arterial disease.

Would you clarify a few things for me, please?
# do you smoke or consume alcohol?
# do you have any other medical issues or take any other medications?
# You are taking hyzaar for hypertension, right? What are you blood pressure readings like now?
# any numbness or itching over you feet?

I recommend :
- vascular surgeon consultation is required.
-doppler study of the legs to check for blocks in blood supply. An angiography may be necessary
- blood tests (complete blood count, clotting profile, liver and kidney function tests, lipid profile, blood glucose panel)
- urine analysis

Based on these a treatment plan will be initiated.
Please see a doctor right or visit the ER as the clots that form due to poor blood supply can travel to the heart, lungs and brain and cause life threatening complications.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health.

Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad

Brief Answer:
Please go to the ER immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your clarifications and follow up.

I am sorry, but Hyzaar was mentioned in medication history attached to your query. However, thank you for listing all your current medications?
# how long have you been taking requip and effexor?
# have you done any recent blood tests?

Your blood pressure is dangerously high and needs to be controlled immediately. Have you seen your doctor since these readings were taken?

# you will need to be hospitalized and monitored for at least 24 hours to control blood pressure and heart rate.

# the bluish discoloration indicates compromised blood circulation to your legs. This too is dangerous as it can lead to life threatening Infection and complications.
Numbness is due to lack of blood supply.

Please go to the Urgent care. Take some one along and do not drive.

I see that you have enquired about how a person would die if they had kidney stones. Why do you ask this?
I understand that you are going through a difficult time now. Health issues, however minor can affect one's morale.
I urge to seek medical attention right as if treated early the risk of serious complications can be minimized.

I've always preferred to have a face to face conversation, especially about one's health. You could type out my name on health care magic. My photo is attached.

Hope you feel better soon. Please take care.
Wish you good health.
