Brief Answer:
Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia effects and its treatment effects on body

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. By saying WALDENSREOMS, I assume that you meant "Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia".

In this disease, excess paraproteins accumulate in body which can cause

- neuropathy
- Amyloidosis

So it can cause neuropathy and dark colored limbs due to autonomic neuropathy/amyloidosis.

Now another cause can be

-- Chemotherapeutic drugs like

Plant alkaloids, such as vinblastine, vincristine.

Bortezomib

Thalimdomide use

If any of the above drugs was given to you for the treatment, it might be one of the cause of your neuropathy.

So both disease and its treatment can cue the cause of neuropathy and skin discolouration in you.

You should consult neurologist for neuropathy treatment. The treatment will be medical like

- vitamin B12 supplementation
- neuron specific other vitamin supplementation like folic acid, pyridoxine, pantothenic acid
- vitamin E
- treating underlying cause
- tablet S-Adenosylmethionine will also help in regeneration
- Glutathione, calcium and magnesium supplements also treat it
- For symptomatic relief, you can take Carbamazepine after proper prescription.

For skin discolouration, consult dermatologist. He/She will prescribe you pigment removing cream, masking cream.

Hope it will help you. Still in doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
