Brief Answer:
Nothing worrisome,monitor bp&sugar levels&control eyes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Usually, the black dots are not a problem especially during changes of light intensity.
However, taking into account the fact that your husband is a diabetic and on insulin, if I was his caring doctor would advise to :
- get further examination of the eyes to exclude retina problems that are common among diabetics
- monitor his blood pressure and sugar levels and record the results for further evaluation
It is common for diabetics to suffer hypoglycaemia or oscillations in blood pressure.
If nothing wrong will be noted, then it's nothing worrisome.
All the best!
