What Causes Black Spots Below The Glans Of Penis?

Question: Hi Doctor
This is regarding skin problem. I have observed that my penis has two black spots below the glans(please see the picture attached).
Kindly let me know what is the issue that has caused this and cure for this.

I have read your query and gone through the image.

This could be either eczema or fungal infection from the image and I would keep this two possibilities first here.

But please provide some more information,

Since when you have noticed these black spots?
Do they itch or burn?
Any pain during urination?

Mostly topical steroid cream with antifungal combination might be helpful in this kind of cases.

Hi Doctor,
Is it dangerous? i dont have any pain. I feel itching sensation sometimes but doesnt pain anytime. Please let me know how to cure this and preventive measures.

Thanks for the reply.

As we discussed, it is likely to be fungal infection or eczema from the picture and it is NOT dangerous, so no need to bother much.

Topical steroid in combination with antifungal agents (clobetasol with miconazole) will be helpful. You can see some local doctor or dermatologist who may prescribe it since it is a prescription based drug.

To prevent recurrence, you should wash the genital daily and keep it clean.

Do not share towels or bucket of anyone,keep yours separate.

Wash your hands with antiseptic after applying cream or ointment.

Keep genital area dry and avoid wetness which could be favorable medium for fungus or bacteria to grow.

We may expect to see improvement within 7 to 10 days.

Thank you doctor. As you have adviced, I will contact the local dermotologist and ask for the prescription.

I suspect that use of inner garments without proper wash for weeks might also has caused this.

Kindly let me know, if I can participate in sex or should I need to refrain from sex. If i have to refrain then how long it should be?

Since the lesion or black spots are near the glans penis,I would advise to avoid unprotected sex until the infection subsides.

However,there is no issue if you use condom during sex.
