default
Posted on Mon, 21 Nov 2016
Question: Suspect blockage of the stomach's exit to the intestines. 2 Dark stool poops in 5 days (not normal for me), Pee normally. Feel I need to puke to empty my stomach. I've been nausea's for 5 days. Stomach/liver area is tight and uncomfortable, 5 days. On an island, no doc nearby.

Other than puking, is there a better way to get my stomach to drain solid foods? Apple juice, Prune Juice???

Brief Answer:
If you have blockage just with foods and medicines wont be enough.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health question.
I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

Can you tell me if the stool was dark like petroleum- so very very dark, or just darker in color then usual?
Also, except these 2 bowel movements have you had other bowel movements during these 5 days which were normal?

You can surely drink all kinds of fluids you want. It is important to drink more then 3 liters of fluids/day and you can take those fluids by soups, fruits, vegetables and water.
Also, pepto bismol wont help because it will make you more constipated.
Use fibers instead that you can find over the counter- Psyllium.

If this situation continues you will need to see a doctor. The blockage of the stool is not something to be taken easily and if it is the case it won't be enough to be treated if you don't go to the ER to see an abdominal surgeon who can examine you and give diagnoses according to the examination.

Hope this is helpful.
