What Causes Black Stool And Indigestion Issues?

Question: Good morning i have constant diarrhea and nausea for about 2 weeks started with dark stools and food still isn't digesting went to the er and they guessed it was a ulcer went to another doc and he guessed it was kidney stones had cat scans and ultra sound bloodwork does not support the kidney stones but cat scan does..not really feeling like its kidney stones the black stool went away with the pills fro the ulcer pain is still there.. i can't leave my house now.i had 5 dental implants done on may 20. they are not swollen or tender in anyway. Am remodeling our home and we found black mold.we are tearing everything out to the studs . please help..i want my life back

I appreciate your concern

The black stool with ulcer pain signify an upper Gastrointestinal bleed.

The ulcer would respond to PPIs like esomeprazole and prokinetics such as metoclopramide along with antispasmodic medication such as hyoscine or dratoverine.

The prilosec should be continued. However if there is no symptomatic relief then the dose should be doubled to 40 mg bd in addition to bismuth subsalicylate and sucralfate.
