Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should know that withdrawal bleeding (similar to period) is due to effect of I-pill. It is quite common and natural phenomena. Most women get this type of bleeding after taking emergency pill. It generally stops automatically within 3 to 4 days and NO treatment is required.
In this case, I suggest her to take TRANEXAMIC ACID group of drug to arrest bleeding and keep watching the nature of bleeding. She should maintain genital hygiene properly and avoid sexual activity for at least 7 days.

Thanks Doctor for your detailed answer. I have a follow-up, today is 7th day so i will ask her to take the medicine from today. Also how long, she should wait in case consultation is required.
Brief Answer:
CONSULT WITH DOCTOR IF BLEEDING DOESN'T STOP.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
First of all, she would start the medicine (TRANEXAMIC ACID) at the earliest and bleeding will stop within 2 to 3 days (in most cases). However, she must consult with local doctor (or Gynecologist) if her bleeding doesn't stop even after taking medicine.
Lastly, next period may be delayed for 1 to 2 weeks due to hormonal imbalance and associated mental stress. In that case, she may require progesterone pill to induce period following confirmation of pregnancy.
Hope, it helps for you. Kindly, close the discussion.
Good luck and all the best.
Regards,
Dr Soumen
