What Causes Bleeding And Pain During Defecation?

Question: Hello doc, I am feeling pain in the anus while I am pooing. Blood is also coming. It is happening from last 3 days. Is it because of thyroid medicine which I am taking from last 1 and half month or there could be some other reason. Please help me in this.

I read your question completely and have understood it well enough..

Please note..

1. Pain and bleeding Per Rectum could be because of two things mainly..

A. One is, most commonly Haemorrhoids, also called piles.
There are four grades, and that needs examination.

Anyway, treatment for grade 1 and 2 is medical with stool softeners and local gel. Xylocaine.

B. Second one is, Fissure in Ano.. This is because, you are having pain.

Treatment again is same. And you basically need relaxation of the anal sphincter.

2. Very rarely, it is because of cancer. But, considering your age. It's very much unlikely.
Dont worry about it..
