Question : Hi...I had a conization , a D & C and some vaginal biopsy samples done last January. Everything came out negative, thankfully. My husband and I waited until two weeks ago to have sex to make sure everything was healed. What a disaster, his penis could only go in a little, with lots of lubrication and there was pain and blood. There is some sort of obstruction in there. How could this have happened? Thanks

Brief Answer: Possible adhesion. Detailed Answer: Hello, Nice to meet you here. There are possible chances of adhesions after D&C[Dilatation and curettage] and cervical conization. Since the improper healing of the mucous results in adhesion,resulting bleeding with painful coitus during intercourse. I advise you to do a checking colposcopy to view the interior for any adhesion and follow up with your treating gynecologist to get treated accordingly[either medical or surgical removal of adhesions.
