What Causes Bleeding From Belly Button Post Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy?
Urgent care
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read the history and understood it.
I would just like to clear a few thing for me to help you more.
Are you in the hospital or at home?
Was not the wound covered with dressing ?
Are there any other symptoms of pain in abdomen / bloating / fever or so ?
As per your history the diagnosis is very obvious.
Smelly, yellowish blood stained discharge is obviously an infection causing the area shiny due to inflammation.
I would advise you to consult your Surgeon Nurse immediately.
You mat need to have a stitch removed and the wound drained, cleaned with Liquid Povidone iodine and hydrogen peroxide.
Also need to be put on another antibiotic and have twice daily dressing.
I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis , come out of the emergency and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more or if you need further clarifications if you feel there is a gap of communication.
Regular follow-up please.

Thanks for your feedback.
Well, this is a day-care surgery now-a-days.
If there is no smell and no further discharge, there may not be anything to worry.
You history of ''smelly'' discharge made me to ask you take more precautions as infection so early can have more complications.
Have a very regular follow-up and insist on regular inspection, palpation and dressing till it is sure that there is no infection.
