Question: OCT. 10, 2014, surgery that removed the left ovary. Nov. 23,1014 I am experiencing drops of blood in the lower lapra scopy; it has not healed. The MD says he used a kind thread that would cause an infection and that I would be all right. What do you say?

Brief Answer:
Needs to be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
So you are 6 weeks out from a surgery to remove the left ovary which was done as a laparoscopic procedure. This means, as you have said, that the incisions on your abdomen are all very small. At this point, the incisions should be completely healed. They should not be draining, bleeding, red or tender. So, if there is still blood or drainage coming from an incision, you need to be evaluated in person. This could be a sign of infection and it really needs to be addressed. If you doctor is "blowing you off", then you need to ask to see one of his partners and also consider switching doctors.

Please let me know if this helps.
