What Causes Bleeding From Penis?

Question: My father is 94 years old and is bleeding from his penis. Should he see a doctor
Brief Answer:
The sooner the better
Detailed Answer:
Hi
You have not provided any details but at 94 years of age, any such news usually is not good news. There could be urethral bleeding, ( i.e. the passage through which urine comes out) which can be quite troublesome and difficult to control. If it is from the skin of the penus, hopefully it can be controlled by local pressure and an ice pack. The bleeding often subsides.
If he is passing blood mixed urine as well, he might need other tests like an ultrasound scan of KUB, kidneys and bladder.
Let me know if you have more information to share and I will help you.
Best wishes.
