What Causes Blister Over A Healed Injury?

Question: I tripped on a sidewalk and got a pretty deep scrape on my knee a few weeks ago. The scab finally healed up maybe 4 days ago, and now I've noticed that a blister filled with orange/red fluid has formed over the developing scar. This blister occurred over the last one or two days. Anything to be concerned over?

thanks for sending the question.
I took a look at the picture that you sent. It does look quite inflamed but should gradually heal on its own. You might try to soak your name in some warm water for 15 to 20 minutes a couple of times per day for the next few days. This might help with the swelling.
I would also watch the amount of redness. If you see the redness expandinggradually you might need to see your doctor talk about antibiotics. In the meantime I would apply a generic topical antibiotic pointed to the area. Try not to squeeze or press on the area and your immune system should take care of the rest.

Thanks! Any idea what causes blistering for a nearly healed wound? I've gotten plenty of cuts and scrapes, but never bruised. Also something of note, I visited grandparents when the scab was still sealing. My grandma had recently gotten out of the hospital with a MRSA infection.
Brief Answer:
Considerations
Detailed Answer:
it could certainly be a superficial bacterial infection but assuming that your immune system is in good working order it should be able to get this under control relatively quickly. I doubt MRSA.
it may be just inflammatory collection of fluid. Our bodies generate fluid during inflammatory responses.
