Brief Answer:
can be due to different causes

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The discomfort and fullness from bloating can affect breathing in some persons.

Bloating can be due to different possible causes such as: (1) reflux- reflux is one of the more common causes

(2)use of gas producing foods- excess use of certain foods can result in an increase in gas production eg prunes, cabbage, broccoli, turnips, beans, cauliflower, carbonated drinks

(3) constipation

(4)lactose intolerance

(5)celiac disease

(6)irritable bowel syndrome

These are some of the causes.

To help you at this moment, you may want to consider: (1) moving around as much as you can. This will be uncomfortable, but it helps to get rid of the air present.

(2)gas x - this is the name of a medication called simethicone- it is used to reduce bloating

(3)add a medication such as zantac or pepcid- there would be no interaction with the gas x

(4)use hot herbal tea such as peppermint or ginger tea

Peppermint has actually been shown to be helpful in persons with irritable bowel syndrome, this may not be the problem for you but it would help with the bloating

When the bloating is reduced, you should try to eat something because wide spacing meals can contribute to bloating.

In the long term, if you have a history of reflux or repeated bloating , you should use a medication such as nexium, prevacid, protonix, prilosec.
These are proton pump inhibitors and they reduce acid production in the stomach.
They do not usually work immediately (because do not get rid of acid already present) but can take 5 to 7 days to take effect.

One of these would reduce bloating episodes.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
