Brief Answer:
Gas after colonoscopy
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You are concerned that after a colonoscopy on Monday you are still feeling bloated and passing gas. When they do a colonoscopy the entire colon is filled with CO2. This gas may take up to 1 week to fully expel. I would also caution you that you should also not eat foods that are going to produce more gas like broccoli or beans. this will just prolong the gas problem. You can try using gaviscon or simethicon as this may help reduce the bloating feeling and absorb some of that gas.
