Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
1. Plugged and ringing ears are indicating possible blockage of Eustachian tube, most probably due to a recent viral infection with stiffed nose. A further examination by ENT specialist is advised to evaluate the changes in the middle ear.
2. Having high blood pressure is also a factor to ringing ears. I advise to keep monitoring your bp and record the results and get them analyzed by the doctor who prescribed the high bp medications. That will help him/her correct the dosage and therapy you are currently taking.
3. A further Doppler ultrasound of blood vessels (carotids) of the neck is advised to exclude related narrowing or problem.
4. You are saying to wear hearing aids. Often their use is associated with ear infection that will give the same symptoms as you are having now. Discuss this further with ENT specialist to re-evaluate your hearing ability and adjust the hearing aid as per your ear damage.
Hope it was of help!
