What Causes Blood Clots In Urine?

Question: i seem to pass a small stringy bloodclot in my urine whenever i masterbate after i excercise. It doesnt happen all the time though. 7 yrs ago i passed some light colored dribbly blood after i peed but never saw anyone about it and this also happened after excercise

I would like to know if you masturbate very often?Rigorously?
During masturbation(especially vigorous masturbation) leads to rupture/breakage of tiny blood vessels supplying the foreskin/glans due to friction resulting in blood/blood clots which you will notice when you pee.Stop masturbating and it shall subside by itself.

Do you have any burning or unusual sensation on the tip of the penis when you pass urine?
Do you seen any cut/abrasion?
Is it fresh blood?Frank red in color?

I would recommend not to masturbate since this might result other health problems( memory/concentration problems, depression etc).

Not masturbate im not sure if i can totally stop it but i can cut down hahaha! Thanks for your long answer, anyway the color is fresh bright red and stringy wormlike appearance and it comes right when i pee NOT after. No burning with urine but sometimes i feel a biting sensation at the tip of penis if im just laying around watching T.V and no cuts i see

Hi dear.Thanks for your quick revert.

As per your description I would suspect this due to cut/abrasion and damage of blood vessels as discussed earlier.Definitely there is nothing to be worried about.But yes since the genitalia has lot of bacteria this can at time result in urinary tract infection apart from blood loss.
Drink plenty of water.

I completely appreciate that you shall reduce the activity.But still it is more healthier to stop if possible.

Hi again.Regret for the delay.

I would prefer to examine to identify the cause of bleeding, especially if the bleeding is persistent.If the bleeding is not related to masturbation then examination is vital.

Bleeding due to local injury due to friction lasts only a little time and subsides once you stop the activity for 3-4 days within which the would generally heals.

Consult a dermatologist/venereologist if the bleeding is really troublesome.
