Hello,
Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
I am a Gastroenterologist and would be answering your query.
As per your query-
Rectum is lined by a soft layer of cells called mucosal layer.Sometimes Forcing an enema into the rectum can cause irritation and mild damage to surrounding mucosal tissue leading to mild bleeding.
Right now there is nothing to worry about but if similar episodes repeat itself in future direct visualization of rectum should be done with Colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy to make sure it is not related to proctitis (inflammation) or polyp or cancer.
Hope i answered your query well.
Thanks!
