Question : My baby is 5 months old.she has blood streak in motion. Doc gave coligyl n gastrobact. Is it ok

Thanks for the query.
Most of the times there is no known cause for blood in the stool.
But still you should examine the stool.
If the baby is otherwise well no need to worry, it will settle down on its own.
Some of the causes are infection, anal fissure , cracked nipples of mother, cows milk allergy.
If there is vomiting , fever, or blood in the stool is shown in stool examination then only you need to give the antibiotics like coligyl, otherwise rule out other causes also.
Till then you can give probiotics.
