Question : Positive ANA (dr says SLE, I say dermatomyositis). Elevated bilirubin & WBC, chronic dehydration, distended abdomen, cannot empty bladder (pain/burn & tightening up into abdomen at the end), trace blood/protein in urine. Also a body rash and itchy legs.
Is this anything worrisome or possibly serious? Dr referred me to specialist for my gallbladder or pancreas.

Is it lupus? Need information
Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Well I am a bit confused here. So you do have rashes. Blood in urine and difficulty in emptying your bladder with ANA positive - it does go more in favour of SLE. And in dermatomyositis we don't expect any problems in urine. Further why are you getting referred to pancreas specialist? did you blood show any abnormalities with serum amylase or lipase?
2. Secondly are you taking any medications for this autoimmune disease?
3. How about your ena profile? that will help us determine the exact disease
Let me know your answers to these queries. I would try to sort it out for you
