Question: Hello I am a very heathly 52 year old male and have had pain in my mid to lower back for several months. Suddley two weeks ago I became ill with unrinary track pain for several hours then passing into urges to urinate often going through an entire weekend of chills and fevers. That subsided after a week. Two weeks later chills and fever return on the day of the last symptoms two weeks earlier. Following day no symptoms! I go on a motorcycle ride and stopped for a coke. While standing in the the local hamburger stand I feel the urge to just go urinate .. No symptoms bamm! There it was blood in my urine. I shook it loose I thought! However that was Saturday and sympotoms are less but my damn testicle has swollen and still a little blood in urine? Been on Pen G,. PAIN is going down but it is slow and still getting chills at night. drinking lots of cranberry. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer: You may have urinary tract infection. Detailed Answer: Good Day and thank you for being with Healthcare Magic! From the symptoms that you have described you maybe suffering from urinary tract infection (UTI). Fever and chills meant that the infection may have spread to the bloodstream and possibly to the kidneys. I would strongly suggest seeing a doctor or a Urologist to be prescribed appropriate antibiotics. Workups will also be needed like ultrasound to check if there is a problem with your kidneys and Prostate gland to determine the cause of your blood in the urine (HEMATURIA).The swollen testicles are also part of the UTI since the UTI was left untreated the bacteria went to the the testicles causing the ORCHITIS. To summarize, everything that you have described is attributed to your untreated UTI and you are suffering from the complications of your UTI e.g orchitis, blood in the urine and possibly kidney infection (pyelonephritis). You need to see a Urologist to get treatment as soon as possible and get the laboratory examinations and imaging. I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for.
