What Causes Blood In Urine?

Question: My mother has blood in her urine weeks at a time,no pain. She eats a lot of chocolate and high potassium in blood.but no bacteria. Can calcium oxalate in chocolate be a factor? Can that cause stones?
Brief Answer:
Yes, calcium oxalate & diabetes can be the factors
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.
Yes. There are multiple causes for stone formation and the contributing factors are calcium oxalate in chocolate and diabetes.
Ask her to drink plenty of water of minimum 2 liters per day and avoid having more chocolates. Her sugar should be controlled as the urine sugar in uncontrolled diabetes can lead to UTI around the mucosa injured due to stone and also prevent the movement of stone complicating the issue.
I hope this information helps you and answered your query.
Feel free to ask for any further questions and I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
