What Causes Blood In Urine?

Question: I have had brown discharge for about two weeks and a few days ago i started to see blood in my urine. The blood still continues to flow like im on my period. But I had my period two weeks ago,the hospital didnt really tell me anything they just prescribed cipro and flagyll. Since i started taking them the blood has been a bit lighter. What could be causing this blood? I also sometimes have cramping. Could it be possible that Its cancer?
Brief Answer:
Gynecologist examination is must
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is mostly due to some infection in the lower genital tract usually but still examination by a gynecologist is a must.
If the flow of blood has decreased after taking antibiotics it is a good sign.
At the same time in case you have a slightest doubt then do a urine pregnancy test.
All the best.
