Brief Answer:
investigation is required

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

this is hematuria obviously and requires investigation unless the cause has already been diagnosed. You haven't mentioned any symptoms so I suppose you didn't have any (pain, dysuria, frequency, urgency, etc). Painless hematuria raises suspicion for tumors. Therefore you should start with radiological tests like an ultrasound scan of the urinary tract (kidney to prostate). If the cause can't be detected with the ultrasound scan, other tests (more detailed) like computed tomography can be employed.

Passing blood clots gets you in danger for urinary tract obstruction which may cause serious problems.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
