What Causes Blood In Urine?

default
Posted on Thu, 25 Aug 2016
Question: Hello, I am a diabetic and have a very low T level. I believe the last T test results were (50). I have had lower back and hip discomfort for about a month now maybe closer to two months. When it started I was peeing blood and it was very difficult to start peeing. I thought it was a kidney stone. The Dr. at Urgent care done xrays and did not see anything. He diagnosed it as an infection and prescribed meds. The blood in the urine cleared to the point that it was barely noticeable but I continued to have the discomfort. I have not been sexually active for three years but in the last two weeks I have felt the sensation of an orgasm while sleeping. The sensation was not painful and actually felt normal. It was intense enough to wake me up. What concerns me is that I would run to the bathroom but even though it felt as if I had released a serum stream nothing came out. Is this something related to cancer?

Brief Answer:
You need to consult Urologist for fresh investigations ,

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have gross hematuria (Blood in urine since very recently).

The gross hematuria with discomfort is most likely to be due to either of the two
1) Enlarged Prostate
2) Cancer of the bladder ,

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Endoscopic Examination of bladder (Cystoscopy)
5) C.T Scan of the urinary system

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
