Blood in the urine can be due to a number of things including bladder or prostate infection, urinary tract stones, and (less commonly) tumors.

But you wrote that you have been taking pain killers. Are you taking ones that contain NSAIDs (non steroidal anti-inflammatory) medications such as ibuprofen or naproxen? Because those can increase the likelihood of bleeding. If you are taking these, stop doing so and switch to paracetamol (also known as acetaminophen or Tylenol).

And regardless, go now to a clinic to have a complete urinalysis done. This can give some idea of the source of the bleeding. If you have not been on NSAIDs, you should also have imaging done, starting with an X-ray to look for kidney stones.

I don't the Australian health care system but I am wondering if there is some type of urgent care clinic or A and E clinic where you can go in now rather than waiting until Tuesday.

It's not clear to me from your description of mild pain in your low back and hip, if this is muscular type pain, or an aching pain in the flank, which might be associated with your kidney. The kidney can ache if there is an infection, stones, inflammation or bleeding there. (With infections, there is sometimes some nausea and fever.) I would feel more comfortable about this situation if you went in to be seen now, rather than waiting until Tuesday.
